Helfende Hände

Impressions of past events

Almost 80 interested people accepted our invitation to the event 'Doing good - social commitment with measurable impact' on 25 October 2023 in Zurich. It was a great evening with exciting insights and practical approaches on how doing good can succeed as well as many inspiring encounters at the subsequent aperitif in the beautiful ambience of the old Sihlfabrik.

The expert panel with Dr Janine Händel, CEO of the Roger Federer Foundation (systemic approach), Andreas Kirchschläger, founding partner and managing director of the elea Foundation for Ethics in Globalisation (impact investing approach) and Dr Claudia Suessmuth Dyckerhoff, board member of KKEV and founding member of EUC (grassroots/solidarity approach), moderated by Professor Dr Claudia Brühwiler, highlighted various approaches on how social grievances can be improved and at the same time have a positive 'social impact' and how this can be measured in concrete terms.

We are pleased to offer you the opportunity to watch the presentation of our organisation 'Empower Underprivileged Children' as well as excerpts from the panel and Q&A session again or for the first time via the video links below.

NEWS

KKEV Cambodia is proud of the first student who turned 18 in 2023 and has achieved the necessary qualification for university studies. The young man's name is Pav Maneth and he is a real role model for the children of KKEV Cambodia! Using Crowdify, a Swiss crowdfunding platform, our organisation was able to raise the USD 13,000 needed for his studies within a short space of time, which is a great joy for everyone! A big thank you to all our donors, you made it possible!

It is not feasible for the children of KKEV Cambodia to finance this amount themselves, as it is about 80 times the monthly salary of a normal worker. Since KKEV Cambodia's budget covers the children's school attendance and the teaching of practical skills, but cannot cover the costs of university studies, we will also undertake fundraising and crowdfunding activities for future outstanding students to enable them to study.
